(How to judge pressure level and support level)

如何利用它来确定买卖点?(Many times we will say, "If the support level holds and does not fall below, it is a good entry point! If the stock price rises to the pressure level, sell in batches if there is no breakthrough!" So what are support and pressure? How to use this to determine buying and selling points?)

(First we need to know what support and pressure are?)

(When the stock price does not move significantly upward or downward during a period of time, but fluctuates back and forth within a certain price range, we call it "consolidation." When observing the stock price during consolidation, you will find that there is often a force that prevents the price from falling, just like someone holding the stock price up with their hands, which is support; or there is another force that forcefully pushes the price down, which is pressure. Using support and pressure as a reference, we can make reasonable and well-founded buying and selling point decisions about future stock price trends!)

(How to find support and pressure lines?)

(On the K-line chart, connect the "lowest points of at least 2 waves" and extend a line to the right of the K-line chart, which is the "support line".)

(Connect the "highest points of at least 2 waves" and extend a line to the right of the K-line chart, which is the "pressure line".)

(After understanding the definitions of pressure and support levels, we must learn how to use pressure and support levels to find trading signals)

(Support: strong buyer power makes the stock price rise)

(When the stock price is at the bottom or returns to a low point, there will be support, which means that buyers have been increasing their purchases to support the stock price. At this time, the stock price will not easily fall. If the stock price has support, investors can prepare to enter the market. When the stock price rises above the support line, buy the stock or go long. You can continue to hold shares until it falls below the support line.

Take TECHM from July 2018 to July 2019 as an example. During this period, the stock price did not fall below this neckline, and there were three periods of increase. From the picture, you will find that there were two periods of obvious consolidation, and the stock price Troughs or retracement lows provide support, allowing stock prices to continue rising. You can continue to hold shares before falling below support. If the stock price falls below support, be prepared to sell the stock.)

(Pressure: Sellers are strong, causing the stock price to fall)

(When selling pressure is strong enough to resist buying power and cause price gains to fall back, it is called pressure. Usually occurs at the high point of the previous price increase. If the stock price breaks through the pressure, the stock price will rise and you will be ready to enter the market and buy the stock. If the pressure cannot be broken, the stock price will fall. When the stock price continues to fall, investors will sell or short the stocks they hold when they see the stock price rebound to the pressure line.

Taking RBLBANK as an example, from January 2023 to August 2023, the stock price encountered the pressure line many times, but ultimately failed to break through. Therefore, the stock price continued to fall until it broke through the pressure line on May 30, 2023, and the stock price continued to rise.)

(Although the pressure line represents strong selling pressure, when the stock price breaks through the pressure line, it means that the underlying stock has a certain amount of momentum and is very likely to rise directly, creating an upward trend. Later, we will also introduce how to distinguish whether the stock price is a true breakthrough or a false breakthrough.)

(Role reversal between support and pressure levels)

(To simplify the explanation, we discuss support and pressure separately, but investors who observe stock prices must look at support and pressure together, because there is no absolute support or absolute pressure in the same price area. Under the existing support line, when the price breaks through the support, it will turn into pressure and become the pressure line for the next wave of stock price rebound.

Taking ADANIENSOL as an example, you can clearly see in the figure that there are supports and pressures in each consolidation range. When the stock price breaks through the pressure, the pressure turns into support. But when the second period pressure broke through, the stock price fell below the support level for about a week before rising again. This phenomenon is called a "false breakout.")

(Is the stock price a true breakthrough or a false breakthrough?)

(If the closing price breaks through, it is considered a true breakthrough)

(Some stocks will break through or fall below the trend line (support line or pressure line) during the session, but often return to the original trend line at the close. Therefore, it is best to use the "closing price" as the standard to avoid errors in judgment.)

(When the stock price exceeds the pressure line by 3%, it is considered a real breakthrough.)

(In order to prevent the stock price from fluctuating too much in a short period of time, leading to false breakthroughs, the closing price and 3% can be used as the standard (the closing price must exceed 3% at least), which can effectively avoid misjudgment of intraday stock price fluctuations.)

(Volume will increase after the breakout)

(When the stock price breaks or falls below the trend line, trading volume tends to increase, which means that the market agrees with the direction of the stock price fluctuation, preferably more than 30% of the 5-day average trading volume. If the trading volume does not increase but decreases, it means that the market has no confidence in the direction of the stock price fluctuation, so you still have to pay attention to whether it is a false breakthrough!)

(Observe more after breakthrough)

(To be on the safe side, we still need to carefully observe the stock price trend after the breakthrough to see whether it develops in the expected direction after the breakthrough. If this is the case, we can enter the market with confidence and even increase our bets!)

(Finally, I would like to remind everyone that support and pressure are concepts for judging stock price reversal, and they are relative concepts. Therefore, you must combine other principles and graphics when investing to make correct judgments when investing. We can then enter the market with confidence and even increase our buying positions!)
